My friend... 
Oh, what I have realized... 
A little too much, a little too late-- 
For you, I would brave the storm 
Alone 
I would put my life on the line 
If only to protect you 
I would embrace my death 
If it would keep you from dying 
I would suffer happily 
If it would keep you from harm 
I would avenge all wrongs against you 
I would fight to the bitter end... 
For you 
I would be there for you 
In times of sorrow and misery 
If there ever was a time that you needed me, 
I'd be there for you 
There's nothing to great 
Or too small... 
If you had asked it of me, 
I would've come through... 
For you 
But alas, the one time you needed me most, 
I could not do anything 
For you 
I could only stand by, 
Helpless 
And cry. 
Oh, why did this have to happen? 
Can't you see how much I am hurting... 
Without you?
