say that in war, the only enemy is war itself Yet
here we stand on the battlefield Poised
at the brink of destiny As
enemies… Searching
for answers that don’t come easy Waiting
for an absolution that will never come Number
the stars… For
they shine for all of the lost souls in our midst tonight Are
you my enemy? Why
must we fight? How
much suffering must we make our hearts endure? So,
in this titanic struggle We
lay out our dearest hopes and dreams and risk them being dashed Who
else will realize them if we can not? In
a mortal combat of our spirits, we lock horns In
this act we are bound Unforgiven Yet,
we must continue… I
can feel it cleansing me, freeing me Lifting
the burdens off of my shoulders, giving me a new reason to go on Is
it the same for you? In
a fight to the death, we discover life Bring
forth the fires and watch it all burn To
you who slays me this night I
hate you And
I love you With
all of the emotion that I never thought myself capable of With
everything that I ever had Thank
you, my friend With
this final breath I say to you I
am ever grateful For
you ending the misery, the pain, the suffering, the war… In
